About Africa's Eden

Africa’s Eden is a Tour Operator and Ground Operator, with its own accommodations in west central Africa. We arrange exclusive trips to the Dzanga-Sangha Reserve in the Central African Republic, Loango National Park in Gabon and the islands of São Tomé & Príncipe.

Who we are &  where we come from

Africa's Eden grew from a pilot project named Operation Loango initiated in 2001. The aim of Operation Loango was to develop low-impact eco-tourism and conservation in Gabon based around the concept of ‘tourism pays for conservation’.

After the pilot project was successfully completed in 2007, the organisation Africa's Eden was created for small-scale and low-impact tourism in west central Africa. Simultaneously put in place were a sister company Africa's Connection for regional aviation, and the organisation Société de Conservation et Développement (SCD) for research, park management and educational activities.  The name Operation Loango is now only used for certain research activities in Loango National Park.
