Our trip to Gabon has been fantastic, more then we expected, and we expected very much!
Best of all has been the people, extremely well prepared in biology, nature and wild life as Fabien and Jako, with them we have had very interesting conversations about this subjects and sharing our knowledge with them in the wild. Also the kindness of Tazim who take care of us in Evengué and Sta. Caterina, Nicole, who do a massage to Jose Antonio, one of the best in his life, and the amiability of Pietra. And what to say about the Chef, fantastic his curry, same to say about the maitre. The birthday dinner was in Akaka and Fabien and company made this unforgettable!
The landscapes were most beautiful that we have never seen, the rainforest and the beach, together in a place, so unusual and astonish! And the experience with the whales, only for this, it is worth. Even we must to run when and elephant try to catch us!
The organisation was perfect, the installations fantastic, the food, the excursions, the guides, amazing!We are thinking, if we save money, and you make a good offer, in going next year to Centro-African Republic.
Congratulations to African’s Eden as organisation and thanks to all the people that make us be so happy!

We had such a great time on our visit to Loango this past weekend. We saw all the animals we hoped to see - elephants, monkeys and hippos. Thank you for putting together our travel package.

Het was met een woord "geweldig"
Met onze ervaring hier in Gabon wat betreft wilde dieren waren we in eerste instantie niet zo geïnteresseerd om bijvoorbeeld olifanten te spotten, maar het zien van zoveel beesten in met name TASSI was erg leuk .
De hiking trip naar AKAKA vonden we heerlijk , lekker door de jungle lopen ( 18,5 km om precies te zijn). Carolien heeft wat blaren opgelopen maar verder was de hike perfect. Niet echt nodig om zware wandelschoenen mee te nemen, als de schoenen maar comfortabel zitten, want de terugweg had ze geen last meer omdat ze lichte schoenen had aan gedaan.
AKAKA vond ik persoonlijk het leukst, andere vonden TASSI super. AKAKA is gewoon lekker rustgevend en het eerste biertje smaakte heerlijk toen we aankwamen. Wat mij betreft moet je deze lodge altijd open houden, maar begrijp dat de mensen dieren willen zien en die waren er niet, maar wat een prachtige plek en een heerlijk uitzicht, lekker rustgevend.
Ze waren nog niet echt op ons ingesteld want de biertjes waren snel op en ze waren de wijn vergeten. Lunch in Iguela lodge was een aangename verrassing dacht dat we 1-2 uur moesten lopen van de lagune naar TASSI maar dat ging dus met de auto.
TASSI was weer en heel andere belevenis, veel beesten en relaxte sfeer. Chimpansees, buffalo's, olifanten, wilde zwijnen, chittatonga's gezien. Hebben zelf 's avonds Dinosaurussen gezien maar dat had een andere oorzaak.
Weer was fantastisch geen regen gehad. Het had net geregend of het regende nadat we net waren vertrokken (het moest gewoon perfect zijn bedankt daarvoor)
Het was ons natuurlijk om de wandeltocht te doen maar de entourage was heel goed, alles was mooi in balans.
Eten was ook perfect, wat ze allemaal kunnen maken midden in de jungle !!!
Gidsen, Fabien en Zack waren prima, volgens mij vonden ze ons heel erg raar, maar wel leuk, hebben erg gelachen en zij keken hun ogen uit wat die oudere jongeren (behalve Carolien) allemaal voor rare dingen deden en zeiden.
Misschien iets voor de toekomst om aan te bieden, maar een rondtocht via AKAKA, TASSI, Petit Loango en weer terug naar Cette Cama zou iets heel speciaals zijn.

I found that Gabon has the friendliest people and I enjoyed meeting every one of them. Only the language barrier was a bit of a problem.
The forest is a wonderful experience – almost mystical – and of course the birds and animals that I could see were wonderful. Unfortunately there are many birds that are not on that list that you sent and the eco guides did not know any bird that wasn’t on the list.
The accommodation at the Lodge was fine and everyone from the staff to the guests were friendly and great. If I am still fit enough I would like to return in about 5 years to see what has been done to habituate the wild gorillas and chimps to man’s presence.
All in all it was a most interesting experience for which I thank you all!
