I was not able to join the entire fam trip and as I have been in Gabon and Príncipe before, I considered to concentrate on Dzangha Sangha in Central Africa. The great question was if it is worth to travel to Africa just for these 2 days.

Eventually I decided to make the short trip, mainly for 1 reason. I wanted to see for myself if Dzangha Sangha really offers a realistic chance to find and observe a group of lowland gorillas. What I experienced there has exceeded all my expectations. I couldn't believe how the Pigmy guides led us through the thick forest to this group of gorillas which weren't disturbed at all by our presence.

To stand on the platform at Dzangha Bai with dozens of forest elephants, sitatungas, in the morning also with a hundred thousand grey parrots was another unforgettable experience. Reaching the bai on foot through deep water also was a special and unforgettable experience. And I have never seen so many butterflies...

I think that your proposed trip, combining Dzangha Sangha with Loango and Príncipe, offers a unique mixture.

Again, I would like to thank you and all at Africa's Eden for the great experience I had on this short safari. I wish you every success with this exciting trip.
