Christophe Lepetit, professional photographer from France, came to Loango National Park, Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe in March 2007. We thank Christophe for making beautiful images of the park and islands.
John Marais, BVSc (Hons) MSc (Wildlife) at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Onderstepoort, South Africa, made his images of the Dzanga-Sangha Reserve available to Africa’s Eden to promote sustainable tourism in the area. The majority of the images you find on Dzanga-Sangha are made by John.
Sarah Monaghan, freelance travel writer, editor and photographer, spent a week in Loango National Park in March 2008. Sarah is editor of Gabon Magazine, a quarterly print and online magazine produced in English and French covering tourism, economy, culture, history and politics in Gabon, for Impact Media Global.
Don Pinnock, editor of Getaway Magazine, came to Loango National Park, Gabon, São Tomé and Príncipe in August 2008. Don has made the images he took on this journey available for Africa's Eden to use for promotion of its activities, thus contributing to making West Central Africa known to the world and allowing for sustainable development of the area.
Michael Poliza visited Loango National Park, São Tomé & Príncipe in 2007. Michael has made the images he took on his trip available to Africa’s Eden for promotion of our tourism and conservation activities, for which we are grateful. Poliza’s most recent photographic adventure has been an 8-week helicopter expedition across Africa with the purpose of photographing the continent from the air. The book that was published on this expedition is named “Eyes on Africa”.
Carlo Porcedda, freelance journalist, photographer and communication consultant, came to São Tomé & Príncipe in April 2008, at which time he took pictures of the newly decorated Omali Lodge Luxury Hotel on São Tomé and Bom Bom Island Resort on Príncipe.
Raymond Rutting, photographer from Holland (photographer of the year 2004), came to Loango in the early days of the Operation Loango project in 2005. We thank him for the beautiful images he made during his trip, amongst others the amazingly clear shot of elephants roaming on the beach, with in the background the waves crashing on the sand.
Micheal Viljoen, wildlife photographer from South Africa, was in Loango National Park for several weeks in April 2008. Many of the wildlife images on this website are made by Micheal. We thank him for his love for nature and wildlife, which is reflected in his images.
